Government during the prime of my life and with a clean record
until during the latter months of my service.

sake of my little girl 10 years of age considering that she is
motherless with no one but myself to provide for her I have
nothing to fall back upon and my health has suffered in consequence of my long service of 20 years in this Colony arriving here with the 9th Company Royal Engineers in 1887. I have arrived at the age of 50 years and if at present I am to be suspended
from the duties of my office I fear ruin will in future be
before me.
